Dejan

Dejan has completed over 1000 home inspections in the last 4 years, prior to being a home inspector he was a Quality Control Manager, inspecting new homes in Edmonton for 7 years. Duties included Identification, diagnosis, and correction of deficiencies, in accordance with Alberta New Home Warranty Program guidelines, ensured a quality product was delivered to the client upon possession. He has vast experience overseeing the residential build process from start to finish, all the systems that are in houses, especially the weaknesses, while maintaining positive and valuable working relationships with clients, sub-contractors, and suppliers. Through both practical experience, and continued education, he has incredible insight into current building codes, practices, and the sciences surrounding them as well as how this applies to older homes.

Dejan is customer service driven, and has a keen eye for detail—ensuring thorough, in-depth inspection.

  • I have inspected over 1500 new homes while working for Strathcona County’s Planning and Development department.
  • 6 years management in structural wood manufacturing. From residential framing to large projects like Olympic sport arenas.
  • Over 15 years in construction and renovating, including framing of houses, roofing, fencing, decks and project management.
  • Broad background in substrates, concrete, foundations, structural systems with a focus on structural wood.
  • I continue with ongoing educational and developmental requirements to keep current and meet industry standards.
  • I take great pride in mentoring and training licensed and insured inspectors and ensuring they are properly trained to meet a high level of competency.
